Should I remove my GPU Shroud for better Temps?

I've owned an Alienware Aurora for about 2 years now..
The problem with it is they are notorious for high gpu temperatures in SLI or Crossifre.

I run a GTX590 which also doesn't help because it's a Dual GPU Card that dumps hot air
back into the case, instead of a traditional card that blows the air outside the case... I sometimes see temps of 92c with graphic intensive titles running maxed out on Ultra. I end up having to turn up my PCI Fan to above 50-60% and the GPU Fan to almost max and still sometimes have a hot and loud PC running...

Will removing the GPU Shroud help out with temps with the 590?

Solution
Well the 590 is a hot card and if you're stressing it out it will show in the temps. Good idea to keep an eye out though, just to make sure.

If you're talking about the shroud ON the GPU, No. Absolutely not. If the're is a different shroud we should know about, please tell us more.

UPDATE: saw the case shroud, no, I think you'll be better off leaving it on there, it should be pushing air right onto the GPU to keep it cooler.

It's the shroud that covers/protects your video cards inside the case... For some reason I thought they would benefit traditional blower type video cards and not my 590 that dumps hot air from both ends...

I see what you're saying, you could try flipping the fan in front(?) that is pushing air in to one that is pulling air out, that may make the case vent from both ends like the GPU, and might help. I still think that it would be better to leave the shroud on to keep the CPU and ambient temps down.

Yeah. It's the downside of this case, airflow is a pain... I definitely will make a much better decision for my next PC. Going to have go all out with a HAF X or something similar.

Actually the GPU did die once, but it was still under warranty by Dell so they replaced it... Warranty runs out in July of 2014, so I'm just careful now to make sure I keep an eye on the temps now and make sure it lasts me till July... By then I plan to hopefully upgrade to Maxwell or the best price/performance card from AMD.
