A $900-1200 first time gaming pc Build

Hello I am looking to build a $900-1200 gaming rig and would like to know if this build will work good or if there is any suggestions on the motherboard and everything else except the cpu and would it be worth it to wait for newegg's blackfriday. I am only planning to game on 1080p atm but want to run battlefield 4 on 60fps and some other games like far cry 3 and watchdogs. Also Should I wait for the r9 290 or r9 290x?

1. AMD FX 8350 $200

2. Asus m5a97 r2.0 $85

3. Corsair obsidian 750d $160

4. Corsair gs800 850w PSU
$100

5. Windows 7 64 bit $100

6. Western Digital 320gb hdd

7. Ripjaws 8gb ram $75

8. Asus r9 280x $315

I will be getting a h100i corsair watercooler and plan to overclock the fx 8350 but that will come a month or 2 after I get the build which is in November or December 2013
