It started when i was playing League of Legends and the game froze. After it went through many freezes and audio loops, the computer started lagging entirely. I did a virus scan and I found a Trojan, but I did get rid of it. Now, 2 days later, the computer is still lagging and I can't open ANY games. Even the seemingly unrelated ones; steam games, store bought games, (free), etc. No idea what to do.

Specs:
GeForce GTX 550 Ti GPU
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 820 Processor
8 GB Ram
Windows 7 64 bit

Sounds like a Hard Drive problem. Try defragging the Hard Drive and report back.

Sounds like a software problem
1/ stop using internet explorer . Download and use Firefox or chrome
2/ download and install AVAST antivirus
Temporarily disable whatever you are using currently

In AVAST click on scan , and in the drop down menu click BOOT SCAN , set it to run by clicking START and reboot the computer

Okay, so I'm defragging the computer hard drive right now, but I've come up with some new problems that may be useful for pinpointing the problem. When I browse the internet, the computer seems to be hardly lacking in speed at all. However, I tried running a few older games (just to see if there's still a problems) and Warcraft 3 said, "Warcraft 3 was unable to initialize DirectX. Please ensure you have DirectX8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. I tried running Osu! (a really easy game) and it said, "your graphics card does not seem support shader model 1.1." Neither of these problems make sense to me considering that just a few weeks ago, I was running sc2 on highest settings, and I just updated my Nvidia drivers. Any insight?
