i have a
Intel Celeron E3300 @2.50GHz
3.0 ram
Windows 7 home premium
Radeon HD 4600 Series
and this is all DDR 2
believe me i hate my PC specs

if i may ask what the highest Ram i can get for DDR2 and whats the recommended Ram for 3dsmax

Before you think of upgrading the ram, check if you have a 32 bit or a 64 bit version of Windows. (Go to Run>>type "dxdiag", and look under operating system.) A 32bit system holds a maximum of 4GB of RAM
As for the specs:
On a 32 bit System, its 2GB (4 recommended) and on a 64 bit system, its 4GB(8 recommended).

If you have some money though, I recommend upgrading. A good PC is always very useful.
