Asrock Z77 Pro4 Dual Boot (XP + Win7)

I want to build a new system using a ASRock Z77 Pro4.
I want it to Dual Boot with Win XP Pro and Win 7 H. Premium 64 (because I have some older games and Apps that may not run on Win 7).
Possibly with XP on an HDD and Win7 on an SSD or possiblt partitioning the SDD for both XP & Win7. I haven't decided because of issues I've been reading about and trying to research.
(1) The advisability of putting XP on an SSD because it doesn't support TRIM (I don't want to degrade the SSD lifespan)
(2) the apparent fact that XP doesn't have support for AHCI/SATA

I've read that XP can use AHCI if (a) you install the drivers for your MB (using Floppy F6 - obviously not possible) or (b)
http://mynixworld.wordpress.com/2012/12/18/install-windows-xp-on-sata-without-a-floppy-f6/
http://rockmanx.wordpress.com/2008/06/03/install-windows-xp-on-sata-without-a-floppy-f6/

I've looked on the Asrock download site and found:
Floppy_Win7-64_Win7_Vista64_Vista_XP64_XP(v11.2.0.1006).zip
and
RapidStorage_Win7-64_Win7_Vista64_Vista_XP64_XP(v11.2.0.1006).zip

the 1st one contains intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers for
AHCI Controllers:
It says in the README file (partial copy):
- Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) 5 Series 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) 5 Series 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH10D/DO SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) EP80579 SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH9R/DO/DH SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA AHCI Controller

1. The system must contain one of the Intel controllers listed in
section 1 above and one of the following processors:
- Intel(R) vPro
- Intel(R) Celeron
- Intel(R) Pentium

I need to know if these ARE the AHCI drivers I need for XP?
And what is the best way to install them if so?

One solution I seemed to read was:
Install XP using bios set to SATA IDE mode then Install the drivers (since you could do that from the HD/SDD) then reboot to make sure install complete then go back to bios and set back to AHCI mode and reboot and XP should them be in AHCI mode.

Surely some people are running the newer MB's with XP and have surmounted these problems, yes?
This is starting to look like an upgrade nightmare.
Help/advice would be appreciated.

I can live with putting XP on an HDD to avold lifespan issues due to lack of TRIM support for an SSD, but I can't see spending all this money on a new system and leaving the Bios in SATA IDE mode just so I can run XP. I might as well just stick to my Dell M65 Laptop w/XP and forget a new system.

Paul:
Did you ever get this figured out? I'm trying to do a similar thing - XP Pro (32 bit) and XP Pro (64 bit), Did you install the 64 bit system first and then the 32 bit system? Are the drivers you linked the ones that ended up working for you? Thanks for any advice you can pass on to me from your experience!

Actually - I decide on an Asus P8Z77-V LX. I didn't like the Newegg revews on Asrock nor their BBB rating.
Also - I've decide to skip trying to Dual Boot XP and Windows 7. It'ss too much hassle for me to tackle due to health problems.
I'm just going to install Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and hope it will run the Games and Apps I want to run - responses I've gotten elsewhere seems to indicate that it will.
But if you want to use XP you are going to have to find a way to include the AHCI SATA motherboard drivers for XP from the manufacturer's web site or MB DVD and slipstream them into XP (meaning burn a DVD with XP and SP3 and the AHCI drives) since you won't have a floppy drive to do the F6 method (this from Asus and Asrock and MSI when I emailed them and asked).

One other method I googled was to install XP with bios set to IDE mode, then install the AHCI drivers (you download) from within windows, then reboot for the install process to be finished, THEN go into bios and sett it BACK to AHCI mode and it should then work.
Here is the link to that method if you want to read it:

And here are links on Slipstreaming into an XP iso:

Hope this helps.

PS
If you are doing XP32 and XP64 I don't thinkit matters the order.
It's just if you are doing like XP and windows 7 or windows 8 or windows 7 and windows 8 that I have read that you are supposed to install the oldest OS first so that the newer OS can properly set up the dual boot config properly.
The Drivers you have to get from the motherboard manufacturer web site (if they don't come on the MB DVD.
Asus and Asrock and MSI and Gigabyte all have the latest AHCI drivers in the down sections for their motherboards.
The ones you want are the Floppy F6 AHCI drivers (which is why you have to slipstream them into a copy of XP (unless maybe you can put them on a USB Flash drive and get the F6 to see that, which I don't think you can.
It's all a pain the the a**

Paul:

Thank you for all the great information you've provided me with! I've got the machine pretty much built and will move on to OS installation over the weekend, provided my replacement power supply shows up. The OCZ ModXStream cords are too short to run behind the MOBO in a full tower with bottom mount power supply, so I have a Corsair coming in from NewEgg).

Paul:
I've got one more question, if you don't mind. What if I go with a Hackintosh as my second OS (with the XP 32, which I need). Then would the order of OS installation matter?
