Hello All,
I'm building my first computer. Which will be used for gaming and for general use.
Whilst i plan to play the latest games (at hopefully the highest settings) (more specifically BF4) i'm also on a bit of a budget so i wanted to run my potential purchases passed you guys incase i was missing something.
I'd like to spend about 750 and i need it to be a micro atx case due to size issues.

So Far:
i5 4670 = 149.99
120gb OCZ Vertex 3 LP = 52.79 (refurbished)
GFX Card:
1) 760 scan fx 2gb = 167.99
2) 680 EVGA sc = 225 (second hand)
600w Silverston Strider sst-st60-f es= 53.99
coolmaster silencio 352 = 45
2tb toshiba =59.99
Asus Gryphon = 117.59

undecided on ram but want 8gb and maybe only 1 stick for now as i'd like to upgrade at some point but either way its roughly £60

So this brings me two potentials to either 707.25 or 762.25 i like the 760 price more but i think the 680 might be worth it.

any input would be amazing :)

Everything looks ok I think, though it's a little hard to follow and without links it's a bit hard to know what you are actually buying.

You have a Z87 motherboard and a non-overclockable CPU picked, I'm not sure if this is by design. One of those things should probably change, unless you have a specific purpose for it.

Most of the stuff you have picked is pretty high end but the PSU is a little mediocre. Going for at least an 80Plus Bronze is probably worth the hassle, XFX Core 550 is under £50, there's a lot of other alternatives too.

Personally, I think £225 for a GTX680 isn't a great deal. In that price range you can buy a brand new R9 280X or HD7970Ghz. For £260 or so you can buy a new GTX680 and GTX770s will creep to that price very soon too.

With ram, its usually best to get pairs, as it enables dual channel mode. With a mATX board you have 4 ram slots so there's not really a reason not to get 2*4.

Hi thanks for the info. Why don't you think the 680 is a good idea for the money? I think I'll swap my power supply out to something a bit more high end in the 600w range

I dunno if you are buying it from a friend or whatever, but £225 buys you a brand new R9 280X or HD7970Ghz which offer comparable performance. This gives you a full warranty and therefore security if something goes wrong, and benefits from any bundled software (the Never Settle deal is pretty impressive).
If you really want a GTX680/Nvidia, there are a couple of options. Firstly, you can hunt for deals on discounted GTX680s (you might find a brand new one for under £250 as they try to clear stock). If you aren't in a huge rush, the GTX770 is the same card renamed, and while they are currently around the £280+ mark, I'd imagine that due to the release of AMDs latest cards, this figure will drop below £250 fairly soon.
The GTX680 might have cost £400-500 new, but it just isn't worth that much anymore, especially if its used.
