I have tried everything I can find that has been suggested on this topic and have yet to find anything that works for me! The suggestion to open the URL in two different windows; close the first window; maximize the second window by using the mouse (I assume they mean pointing the mouse at the lower right corner of the window to get the diagonal arrow and then drag it to full screen); then hold the control key down and close the window using the File, Exit menu option. I'm not sure what URLs you are seeing but mine don't have a File menu! The only Exit I can find is the X in the upper right corner of the window. Am I missing something??

Solution
You get full screen by clicking the "maximise" control button at top right (between the "minimise" and "close window" control buttons), not by dragging the corner of the window (you only do that to resize the window to an arbitrary size).
