Raid 5 Array migration to server with existing array.

I currently have 2 IBM xSeries 345 servers running 3 disk RAID 5 Arrays. 1 server has failed and I would like to know if I can migrate the array from the crashed server to the working server without impacting the working Raid 5 array in that server, as well as not losing any data from the migrated array.

Thanks,
Adrian

That should work, if you have three free disk bays on the second server.

Yes, it should work, you'll have two separate arrays though. I'd make sure if you do that to disable those added hard drives from being bootable, just in case your other server restarts for whatever reason.

Even if it works, think about a backup concept! :)
