So I am planning to get another HD7970 to my system in crossfire, and i started thinking that, is my 650w psu capable of running the 2 cards along my other components? If not, what would you recommend as good enough psu?

Yes it should be fine if:

1-You don't plan to OC
2-You have sufficient amps on the +12 Volt rails

I recommend this:
XFX PRO750W XXX Edition Semi-Modular 80Plus Silver 750 Watt Power Supply

What kind of psu do you have? if it's a good one it will work, however, I'd recommend getting a 700+ watt psu.

My psu is Corsairs 650w 80+, right now I can't say for sure whats the model but if it does matter I'll check it later when I'm home.

I'm not very eagerly planning to OC, but if i buy the gigabytes version where they have oc'd it in the factory to 1ghz from the stock 925, and my current is oc'd to 1ghz right now, you think my psu still could handle it? And thanks btw.

So my system won't crash or anything, or my psu wont catch on fire or break?
