Are the FX6300 and the GA m68mt-s2 rev 3.1 compatible?

Thats pretty much it, I'm currently using the fx 4100 on the m68mt-s2 with no problems other than not being able to over clock, can I expect the same with the fx 6300? the Gigabyte website doesnt say if it works with the 6300 but I dont think the 6300 was around when this mobo was released.

I am aware my mobo is awful but am on a budget.

Yes it will work, they are both am3+ socket.

Guys I tried fx6300 proccesor on a m68mt-s2 , it doesnt work

I checked on the cpu support list on the gigabyte website and it supports up to the bulldozer chips. The vishera ones don't seem to be officially supported
