New Gaming build, $800 - $1000 budget, what can I reuse?

I built my current system with help from this forum 5 years ago and it has served me extremely well, but the time has come to upgrade. Tried to play BF4 and it was a no go. My budget will be around $800, but I can stretch it to a $1000. I'll be in the doghouse for a few days, but if it's worth it I'm not afraid! It will mainly be for gaming and some basic video editing (gopro stuff, nothing professional). I'd like to reuse a few components to save money, so tell me if this is a good idea or not. They are:

Case- Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP Link

HDD- Western Digital Blue 640GB Link

PS- PC power and cooling 750W Link

Monitor- Acer X223 22" LCD Link

I've got Windows 7 installed, but I honestly have no idea where I put it so I'll probably need an OS as well. I've got an optical drive, mouse/keyboard, etc. I'd love to upgrade to a 144hz monitor but don't want to sacrifice build quality for it, so I can hopefully pick one up later. Thanks for any and all input!

Haha no problem just reuse that psu! The haswell compatibility is only for saving power, not necessary at all. I would also go for the intel build, and grab a Samsung 840 EVO SSD indeed.. makes your os+programs way more snappy.

I checked to see and it doesn't look like my PS is compatible, but I hate to replace it since it still works great and I intentionally over bought on my last build so i could reuse it. Is there a way to use the haswell with my PS still, or do I absolutely have to replace it? Other than that, I like the i5-4570 build a lot. I'll add an OS and I'm thinking about an SSD as well. That should still keep me in my budget range as long as I don't have to upgrade my PS.
