Heya guys. First of all, im new here, so hi!
I'm having a problem with my Display, im a bit of a noob with the BIOS and stuff, so please don't give me too hard to understand answers . See, i was just playing SWAT 4 today, when my game started freezing after 20 minutes of playing. My pc turned to a blue screen with error code's in it, but i couldn't really read what it was saying. The screen was just there for about i think 7 seconds, and my pc started booting up again. Everything went perfect so i thought it'd just start up as it would normally do. I got kinda surprised when my screen said "No input signal", so i went looking for the cables. Everything was put in just fine, so i just waited for it to do anything. The black screen got away and my monitor turned on again. I could just log in on my pc, but when i was at my desktop, i saw all kinds of different red dots and stripes all over the dark places on my screen. My whole pc was sort of freezing and i couldn't click anything, so i went looking for a fix, but i didnt found anything about the thing thats happening to me. So, after the pc changed resolution out of itself it gave me the blue screen again, this time for a shorter period. It started booting up again and it asked me to run in safe mode. When i was in safe mode, i uninstalled all my current NVIDIA Display Drivers, and downloaded new ones. I got out of safe mode after downloading, and booted up the pc like i normally would. I could just log in and there were no dots anymore, but my windows was looking like Windows 2000 and it had a resolution of 800x600. I installed the newer NVIDIA Display drivers (331.51 i believe), and everything went just fine. It asked me to reboot my pc, so i did that, and when i logged in it just gave me the dots and lines again... I tried some older drivers but nothing seems to work. I really need help because im busy with this for almost 6 hours already, and i still havnt fixed it I hope any of you knows how to fix this..
Some system specs (don't know all of them):
Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS
4 Gigs of RAM
INTEL Dual Core 3.2 Ghz
Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
Thanks!
