7990 or 290x with i5 2500k? or upgrade?

Hi all this is my first post here after being on the site almost everyday searching for things and the answers always seem to be here so i thought i'd ask, i've currently got:

2500k @ 4.5ghz
asus p8z68-v pro ( will take gen 3 processors, but only pcie 2.0 )
corsair vengeance 8gb 1600mhz
6950 2gb Small overclock
Coolermaster HAF X 750watt

I was wondering should i get a new system or will a 7990 or 290x be fine in my system? thanks in advance

290 or 290x i almost got the 290x but the were sold out @ $545 which is a steal for something almost as powerfull as the titan.



i do agree though the temps on these cards are in the 90s to me I wouldnt really care for that but there are multiple full water blocks out for around $100 that will cool these nicely

i ended up ditching getting a 290 and got a second 7970 ghz which will still be faster than the 290x
