Hello,

I'm building a new computer in the upcoming months and i'm looking for some computer peripherals to go alongside that.

Now I'm stuck with which brand to go with. I am undecided in the mouse department and the keyboard department. I'm more into FPS rather than MMO's.

Razer Mamba or Roccat Kone Pure Color?
Roccat Isku keyboard or ...?

Please suggest the best brand for the money, about the price of each peripheral I suggested. Also suggest any mouses and keyboards that are great :)

Thanks,
keemann

For a mouse I'd reccomend a Razer DeathAdder. Its an affordable laser mouse that is exactly what I want it to be, a mouse. Not many bells and whistles, but it feels and works great.

For a Keyboard the Sidewinder X4 is a great affordable option. If you're interested in a mechanical keyboard the CM Quick Fire or the Corsair K70 are great, if expensive, options.

As an alternate to the suggestions the Microsoft Sidewinder X4, you could go with the Corsair Raptor K30; And inexpensive, durable keyboard manufactured by a great and respected company.

+1 for the razer deathadder. i love the old style with rubberized coating and blue led. of course there are other brands such as roccat, logitech and corsair which have good options as well. the reason i prefer the DA is because i like large mice that i palm grip and it is comfortable to use. the button layout is also very simple and easy to use and it has a good scroll wheel.

in terms of a keyboard i've got a soft spot for old ibm model m keyboards or the new unicomp customizer which i used for years so i prefer them however a nice mechanical keyboard from wasd, maxkeyboard, das, deck, ducky or corsair isnt a bad choice also. honestly depends on what you are looking for in a keyboard. the reason i prefer the M or cust? i think they are the most well made keyboards ever made, the keycaps are washable and i like the feel and noise although not everyone does. i had a wasd cherry blue for awhile and it wasnt bad however it felt rather flimsy in comparison and while not bad i just didnt like the keys as much. to each their own.

I had bought the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 a couple of days ago for £30. It is a great keyboard so far! The deathadder, I'm thinking about buying as the reviews for it sound great.

Thanks for the help.
