Asus Maximus VI HERO Z87 Motherboard (considering)
Corsair 1250 watt PSU (Already have)
Corsair CMY16GX3M2A2133C11 Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133Mhz CL11 XMP
A Corsair series 3 SSD (120 GB) (already have)
Windows 7 Home Premium (already have)
An LG combined HD DVD Blu ray disc drive (already have)
Corsair Obsidian 800D Case (already have)
MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 (SLI) (on their way)
I think that's it, oh yeah and my Sony 55 inch LCD TV's maximum FPS is 100 (100Hz).
Plus a few regular HDD's)

Any help advice, comments, constructive criticism please.

IT'S ALL ORDERED!!, SCARY EXCITING!!

EDIT: Just bought a Corsair H100i too, really really really excited now, how's a person meant to get any sleep!.

EDIT: I've cancelled the RAM order in order to source the 2,933 and 3,200 Mhz versions, any help with this would be greatly appreciated

I'm stuck picking RAM in the 3000 mhz range as that's the maximum stated range on my new motherboard, can anyone help out please, I would wait for the Corsair ones but I'm too impatient. I've been looking mainly at the 8GB modules (2 x 8 GB). I'm off to Asus now to see if they have a listed compatibility section, adious.

Increased ram speed over 1600MHz -1866MHz reaps very little real world benefits and actually running OC ram can reduce CPU overclock because the memory controller is on the CPU and OC ram will take some of the thermal headroom away.

+1 why would you do that.. ddr3-1600 is good enough.

And i7 4770k is worth it with that budget in my opinion.. especially with intel's focus on energy consumption it will be quite futureproof.

Thanks fellas, any specific models you rate highly?...I was thinking of the kingston xmp beast series cl11 2400mhz but i will look into your suggestions of not exceeding 1866

As speed goes up timings/latencies get slower so often you end up with the same performance in the end.

yeah lower cl is better..

but ram isn't important man.. no need to worry about that just get cheap 1333 or 1600mhz ram and you'll be fine. gpu+ssd are the real important parts.
