You cannot use a HDMI to VGA cable. One is digital the other is analog. They are incompatible

we have the same card and i got 2 monitors, monitor1 is dvi port and monitor2 is vga, I purchase a dvi to hdmi for monitor 1 and i got vga to dvi for monitor 2. they worked perfectly. as for the game-wise setup, this type of card doesn't allow that. you might need to purchased a little bit higher card for the dual monitor games.
