Transferring Windows 7 onto new SSD

I am buying a new motherboard because currently my current motherboard does not support my processor.

Also, I will be buying a new Samsung SSD and was wondering how I would transfer Windows 7 which is on my HDD onto my new SSD.
Would I just use the "Smart Migration Software" they give with the Samsung SSD to transfer from HDD to SSD?

Or would buying Windows 8, which I am also considering, be a simpler option. Where I would just install my SSD and then pop in the Windows 8 disk and install it from there?

My Windows 7 Disk is an OEM
I am mainly considering Windows 8 for preparation of Battlefield 4

Best solution

a c 525 $ Windows 7
a c 755 G Storage
a c 201 V Motherboard

A new Windows purchase, either Windows 7 or Windows 8, is required.
