If anything isn't compatible, or just doesn't make sense to have, I'd appreciate feedback so I can improve my build before I buy the parts!

Everything is compatible but..
The RAM is extremely expensive. If you buy it online, you can get 2x4gb for just ~$70.
Also, you might want to look at Microcenter's cpu and motherboard combo: http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx
The i5-4670k is $200 at microcenter, the same price as the 4670 at frys.
Pair it with a ASRock Z87 Extreme4 and you get $30 off. Their cpu mobo bundles are something you want to take advantage of.
