This all started about 6 months ago for what felt like no apparent reason. Out of the blue i just got these random lag spikes/high ping and random disconnects. It wasn't a big problem until i started playing Xbox again. Out of nowhere I just got huge lag spikes and disconnects from Xbox live! Whenever i tried to shoot an enemy player on any shooter game he would freeze and I would teleport 10 steps back and die. I have an old Xbox so here is my setup. My Xbox connects to my wireless laptop through Ethernet. My laptop connects to router wirelessly. I thought the router was the problem so I bought a new one and no difference. I moved my Xbox downstairs and connected my Xbox to modem and then router and there was little/medium improvement sometimes but no game changer. But the weird thing is that I used my buddies Laptop instead of mine and it was lag free, same connection. Same brand, OS, but different model number. Oh and I bridged my wireless laptop to my Ethernet. Here is my speed test. Please help, I am so frustrated. Thanks! And please tell me if you need more info!
