I just built my computer today and I realized that it emits a strange ringing noise like you would hear in your ears. That's the best way I can describe it. It keeps going even when the computer is shut off. When I un plug the system from the power however is when the noise stops. What could it be?

My Rig:
Motherboard: MSI-z87
Graphics Card: gtx 780
CPU: i7 4770k
CPU cooler: corsair h80i
Power supply: corsair hx850
Ram: corsair dominator platinum 16 gigs.
I also have a wifi card and some silverstone light strips but I doubt that could be it. Maybe the water cooler? However that doesn't make sense since the noise stops right when I un plug the pc. I dunno. Thanks for the help!

could be your power supply because even though your computer is off there is still power going through your power cord to the power supply. It could be faulty.

You could be right. I did realize that the fan on the power supply was not spinning when the computer was running. But I just thought it wAs because it had adequate cooling. However the computer is running great! What should I do?
