So I was looking into this graphics card because it is cheap, it has a much better chipset, and it has more memory than my GeForce 220 (from 2004 I believe). I noticed though it has DDR3 for the memory. Is that going to put me at a severe disadvantage or would that versus GDDR3 or GDDR5 not be that noticeable. I am only trying to run games on medium here, and I plan on playing Fallout: New Vegas and Battlefield 3 on medium plus newer games on medium to medium-low.

Faster memory transfers data faster through the system - A 1gb gddr5 gpu is better than a slower 2gb gddr3 gpu since it transfers data quicker. Also, more memory is better for higher resolution however, the 1gb gddr5 will outperform the 2gb gddr3 since it's faster.
