Anyone think that the Lenovo Y510P will be on sale during Black Friday & Thanksgiving week? They're already having a sale on their site at the moment but I'm tight on my budget. Not sure if I should pass up on the offer.. Or take it and regret it later..

It comes down to, there is always going to be a sale, and you're always going to want to be chasing the next one, trying to hold out for something better, but it comes down if you need it now, or can gamble and hope for something better and maybe win, maybe loose. lol

Just like I want a new digital camera. When a 80% deal comes up a last generation one that fits my needs, I'll grab it for a few hundred. When it's like $600 right now, I have better plans for $600.

Now my main tower, I want to go and buy the parts tomorrow and not wait till black friday to gamble on if the parts I have picked will be on sale, or will it be all old, last gen video cards and...
I don't think their black friday deals would be as good that as I don't think they'd have a direct black friday sale. It's usally more a retail/resller thing than a major company thing. Like LG or Samsung doesn't have black friday specials on their sites, but best buy, new egg, amazon, etc that sell their products do, so you'd have to find a place that sells that laptop online through resale.

There are some good black friday deals, but a lot of them falls in

a) great awesome like 80% off deals that they only have a few of in the store or online to suck you. This is more a big box/retail store tactic. It's usually something decent but you have to be at line at 3am to get it.

b) Mostly end of line stuff that they have lots of stock, so it gets a decent 30% discount or so.

c) Newer stuff that everyone wants to gets a 5-15% discount.

d) small accessories you need to make above items work, extended warranties, etc are all normal price.

I've been mulling the same thing, wanting to build a new pc and whether or not to wait for black friday. I looked at the retailers in my area and online places for Canada's black friday from last year, and while there was some decent deals, most of the stuff, I don't want to buy for my system. Seen lots of monitors on sale. I know from reviews at previously looking at those monitors, not of them are anything special. Sure it's $60 off, and $100 for a 22" screen, but when it has like 1 vga port as it's only input, its doesn't look at good.

For something like I want a cheap 32" 720p TV for my room, I'll get a great deal on. No one wants them anymore, they'll go cheap.

Short answer to your question, I doubt Lenevo will have a black friday sale, only retailers.

I have some doubts too about their sale. What they have now is pretty darn good but I'm debating to myself if I should get the y510p with or without SLI.
