As title states, I am having an issue with memory speed. I updated the bios to version 2005 which fixed it...kinda..until I reset. Having 2x8 Ballistix XTs after initial bios load showed only 8gigs at 1866. After another restart Shows 16gigs at 1439mhz? which it was doing before the bios update.

The cas lat of the ram is also listed on the mobo utilities as 9-9-9-24 but 10-10-10-30 by Crucial.

I can set the Ai tweak utility to 1786 mhz and adjust voltage from 1.49 to 1.5V but when I do every restart pops up a screen saying overclock failed....kinda at a loss for what I should do here to get it to 1866 which is supposed to be the boards highest un-OC'd ram speed.

And if anyone knows why only 1 of 2 hard drives shows up in windows but both show in the bios would be a help too.

PC Setup
Amd FX-8350
Crucial Ballisitix XT 2x8
Asus M5a99FX pro r2.0

Solution
Believe you right click on it for some options and then initialize, believe from there can partition and format each - think that's the way, don't remember off hand haven't run into this in a while

changed it to the DOCP and changed the timing from 9-9-9-24 to 10-10-10-30 and seems to be good.....am having another issue now though....I added in a second hard drive...1 ssd is boot, 2nd is 3 TB seagate drive...

running 8.1 - 64bit so I know its not the logic issue....but I can't get my other hard drive to show up

opened CMD - diskpart - volume list - and it shows my DVD drive and my SSD but not my mechanical drive...which shows up under my device manager
