I'm looking for a gaming/powerful work station build.

It will primarily be used as a workstation/lab to run several virtual machines. It is for a homemade laboratory set up to test out several products.

It will also double up as a casual gaming rig (not candy crush, buy crysis type games). I will also run a streaming media server on it like Plex. But primarily need enough juice to run several virtual machines.

Budget : upto $1500

I don't want to build it myself. A prebuilt solution from a vendor with warranty is preferable. (Is cyberpower a good brand?). I'm new to the United states so still learning the ropes about forum posts. Please forgive if I've made any assumptions or posted in the wrong section.

Update : Just went through the sticky.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week (the closer the better)

Budget Range: 1500 After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Lab/Running several virtual machines for learning. Casual gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.:amazon.com,cyberpowerpc.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA

Parts Preferences: Prefer Intel build

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: n/a Will get the monitor second hand.

Additional Comments: Not specific on the cabinet. More the RAM, the better. 32 Gigs is what I'm looking at. CPU and RAM i can splurge on. Graphics can be basic/medium.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My Asus ROG G73 isn't juicy enough to run 3 VMs at a time.

i dont know if a i7-4770k would be enough.
you could save 300$+ if you get it with a cheaper mobo.

thermaltake 2.0 is on sale, gives you good oc.
hd 7970 good enough to play almost every game max. settings.
