Solution
H 61 boards will not overclock!
You need a board with one off Z68, Z75, Z77 or P68 chipset all other boards are multiplier locked and will not allow OC.

The issue is your motherboard.
To overclock a -k series cpu, you must have a z** or p67 motherboard, wheras you have an h61. Sadly the only solution to this is upgrading to motherboard with one of the chipsets I listed

The funny/sad think is that the multipliers are in the CPU; not the chipset.

All the chipset does is unlock the CPU's multipliers... sort of acting like a feature license for the K-CPUs.

Intel fudged up the multiplier lock on Haswell K-CPUs which enabled motherboard manufacturers to unlock K-chips even with the B87 chipset but Intel wants to plug that loophole with a microcode update - if they have not done so already. This shows how much the Z-chipset and K-CPU tie-in is a purely artificial fabrication.

Multiplier is set on the motherboard though and you can downclock on it even on a H61 board, bottom line it has to be unlocked on both board and CPU.
