I am building my first computer, I am not the most tech savvy but have done enough hardware upgrades on previous computers that I'm confident enough to do the assembly.

I need help picking out the best possible build I can.

I will be gaming at probably 1200p possibly 1440 haven't picked a monitor yet.

Thanks to all who contribute!!

$2500 is my maximum budget prefer to stay closer to $2000 as that's going to leave me more for my monitor.

The case I prefer as plain as possible flashy cases do nothing for me, airflow is all I care about

dude don't spend that much money because technology changes every year..just buy rig worth $1000 usd and spend the rest on building an eyefinity monitor setup...spending that much on just a cpu will leave you with regrets when newer tech comes out...

I have trouble seeing a eyefinity setup on a $1000 rig running battlefield 4 at 60fps

Do you think waiting to get a 290x r9 or 2 in crossfire would be worth it? I'm really interested in that card

sorry my bad...as for your question about r9 290x I would suggest go for crossfire r9 280x..it is cheaper than 770 and performs nearly as 780

look for korean 1440p monitors on ebay. cost only over 300$

would begin with a single r9 280x
i5-4670k / xeon e3 1230 v3
2x4gb memory

750w psu
fractal arc 2, fractal define r4, nzxt 530, nzxt h630.

1k-1.2k pc is enough for 1440p monitor
i would wait for r9 290x custome designs or gtx 780 ti (prob very expensive)
