Okay, so here is my question, and having built several computers, I should already know this, but I'm stupid so I do not. Anyways, building a new micro-atx computer, and everything runs fine when i turn it on, it has a APU that has been verified to work with this mobo, however nothing shows on my monitor, thinking maybe the monitor was screwed I checked it with my laptop, it works fine, any ideas why nothing shows? By the way, no graphics card, mobo with built in graphics hence the APU

Well,if the power is proper,I must say the faulty RAM can cause this as well....Also,check it by shifting the RAM sots...Just in case...
If you have more than one RAM stick, try booting with just one of them...
And,you may need to doubt the PSU,and Mobo besides CPU...Let's narrow it down...Do tests for all of them....First check the RAM...Then you can try another PSU if that doesn't work...Also,make sure there are no short circuits...And if it's CPU,then there are some things which need to be thought of and let's talk about that later...
In between,I'm not sure it's necessary...Though,I think you may need to update the BIOS...

I think it's the 2.1 version..Though,if you think...

By the way, which is your APU and which is the Motherboard? Just for some clear idea about compatibility. And,did you check if the RAM was inserted in the slot properly? Did you connect the 4 pin power connector to the board next to the CPU? And,was it the VGA or DVI port you tried connecting your monitor? Switch between them and see if it works.

I have tried HDMI, VGA, and DVI,
CPU- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009O412AU/ref=oh_details_o05_s02_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
MOBO- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009HP42HQ/ref=oh_details_o05_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I usually get good products from MSI, however, everything is together correctly, but it will not show video, and no POST coming either. I have a suggestion given to me to try to connect a Video card, so I ordered a 4gb gddr3 that is going with another build and will test it, however, I would still like help.

Just to make sure, as you didn't seem to answer this part of danny's question, did you plug in the cpu power connector? Might seem like a silly question, but I know my way around computers well too and spent about 15 minutes today trying to figure out why my old rig wouldn't boot just to realize that was the problem.

Like I said the first time, maybe your port had some trouble with it...O it maybe that your motherboard has some trouble with it,or the onboard graphics has some issues...Well,though you got the problem solved by adding a GPU,I must say this: I wouldn't relax looking at the working computer if I were you. Because the system was meant to work with that onboard graphics, and seeing that it didn't,I seriously doubt if the system is fine, and that it'd work for long like this.
Good luck...!
