So I built this media center PC:

Running Windows 7 x64, with a 3tb data drive, and XBMC off the sdd.*

I have been running into a strange problem recently. Random unexplained crashes combined with a refusal to turn back on. Unplugging the power cord from the outlet seems to help but only about 60% of the time. Combined with this I also sometimes get a "insert a bootable drive and press any key" after getting it to turn back on. Strangely I can still get it to boot but it seems to be a "chance" thing. This has resulted in me trying the following:
Triple checking and replacing the power cables to the ssd and case itself.
Using an extension cable to get to a power strip with a lamp. (The pc turned off, the lamp didn't)
Using a windows recovery disk to try and fix the missing bootable drive issue.
Running chkdsk (no errors)
Running memtest (Note: the PC turned off while booted from the flash drive)
Looking at the log which only says "Unexpected Shutdown".
Posting this.

*After running into issues with streaming I had to install the 3tb to play files locally instead.
