If space/size is a problem in your case go for Sapphire as its quite a bit smaller [like i did] ~10.32 inch
If it isn't a problem Asus will be the best :)  ~ 11.2inch

Performance wise you can't go wrong with any. [Except MSI hear it has high temps]

Not yet they are all pretty similar, the companies will be bringing out custom coolers most likely in a month. That is when you will see a difference.

Out of those , I would leave out the sapphire due to the fact the rest have 3yr warranties compared to sapphires 2yr warranty.

Personally wait until custom cooling options come out, I believe that AMD has not yet delivered enough Hawaii GPUs units to AIBs, so they are not prepared for mass production

Up to you , the Hawaii chip is meant to run at 95 degrees centigrade due to the high power consumption if youre buying the 290x for low temps... the standard single blower fan will not cut it, when 2+ fans will be implemented then you will see better temps.

If I were to guess the sapphire would have the best temps follwing their 3 fan design on the 280x http://

But I must stress for better temps (and sound) wait for the custom coolers

I can't wait a month. Battlefield 4 is getting released... So you recommend Sapphire?

I could afford http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... and pick the MSI.

That is a self made custom cooler and will be quieter than the original blower fan

http:// That is what you should be getting due to the vga cooler you've chosen might not be compatible with the r9 290x

find out which ones are truly voltage unlocked on the hardware side. then save up for a water block at hit that puppy with 1.5ghz on the core and enjoy the performance.
