Hi everyone,
I have been a computer repair technician for a good few years now and I have never come across this. A customer brought in her PC after it had a malware infection.
When you try to log onto her account, it requests a password. I used various password removal boot CDs and even after completing the removal, when you try to log on, a password is still required.
I ran a fall Malware Bytes' Anti-Malware scan in my test PC, and it showed no infected files.
I have also tried safe mode with the Administrator account, and a password is required.
I have tried an XP repair, and it brings up 1 error half way through, but continues and puts me back to square 1.
I cannot afford to format and reload.
FYI it's an old Dell tower on Windows XP Home Premium.
You guys are normally great, any suggestions?!
Thanks,
Joe.
