I hav an fx 8350 with h100i cooler. Im running the CPU overdrive from CCC. It is testing now and its up to 5.2 ghz. Temps dont seem to go that high when it is testing. Is this program safe? also when it is done, could I just set its clock and voltages into the bios?

The BIOS is always better then Overclocking programs. Its more safe and OVERDRIVE has caused issues when overclocking with it...

AMD Overdrive really isn't the way to go, it over-complicates what should be a simple process. I tried using it not an hour ago and it ended up de-clocking from 4.5 to 3.4, well below stock ad I just got frustrated.

As for overclocking in general (through BIOS) for your chip and cooling, I'd start somewhere around 4.5Ghz and test upwards, 5.2 is very high for your chip even with liquid cooling, I wouldn't go above 1.5vcore unless you intend to drastically decrease your CPU's life
