System won't boot after mobo install

I did a pretty major system upgrade and installed the Asus h87m pro. Install went pretty smooth, using a i3 4140 3.4 CPU, MSI 760 OC, 16 gigs of corsair ddr3 1600 ram with a 750 watt corsair Power supply. I've checked and double checked all the settings and verified everything is secure. The onboard green power standby led light is on signifying that the board is getting power. When I attempt to boot up all the fans turn for a split second and then nothing. I'm pretty much at a loss at the moment of what the issue could be and the pressure of Tuesdays BF4 release has me sweating like a priest in a brothel. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

First thing:
i3-4130 (there is no 4140, so I guess it was a typo) on this Asus board is supported since BIOS 0906. It is the newest revision, so my guess is that you may have an older one.
Luckily, this mainboard supports USB BIOS Flashback, allowing you to flash the BIOS, not only without booting, but even without CPU installed.

Before going for BIOS update, do the usual troubleshooting: remove all unnecessary components: hdds, odds, sound cards. Remove all but one stick of RAM (leave it in primary slot), remove graphics card. Connect your display to onboard video port. See if it boots.

I've done everything stated above, the only difference is the fans now stay on for a second or two longer before stopping now. Very perplexing as it's obvious the board is getting power but not long enough to boot up. And yes sorry for the typo I meant i3 4130.

What about MemOK and GPU boost LEDs? Make sure that gpu boost switch is set to disabled position.

If all the power connectors are inserted appropriately, CPU and memory stick are seated properly and BIOS is updated, the only solution is to test components one by one in another system.

The memo ok led is not coming on and I moved the GPU boost switch to the off position. The way I understood the mem ok led is that it comes on during the boot process.

Have you updated the BIOS (renamed the file and all the necessary steps)?

I have not as I haven't been able to get it to boot up yet. I'm at the point now where I'm going to try and reset by taking out the battery.

I wrote you about USB Flashback support, without the need to boot, or even install CPU... You wrote, that you did everything I suggested, but apparently missed this part.

There's a sticker on the motherboard. The last 4 digits on that barcode sticker stand for the board's BIOS. What's the version?

As I wrote earlier, you need 0906.
Go to:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H87MPRO/#support
OS: choose 'Others'
From BIOS subsection download latest BIOS.
From BIOS-utilites download 'Bios Renamer for USB BIOS Flashback and Crashfree BIOS 2'

Extract .cap file from H87M-PRO-ASUS-0906.zip, and BRenamer.exe from BRenamer.zip.
As you can read in renamer readme:
1.Put Bios file and Bios renamer in same folder
2.Execute the Utility
3.Use new Bios file for USB BIOS Flash back.

Prepare a USB pendrive. Format it with FAT32. Put the renamed BIOS file onto this pendrive as the only file.
Put it in any USB slot.
Press and hold reset button for 3 seconds, then release it.
BIOS should get updated.

Hard to tell what will happen, because the manual doesn't cover this procedure and it's a bit different than for ROG boards. Maybe some LED will blink during flashing process. Also, I'm not sure about 'any USB port' you should plug your pendrive into. Hopefully it will work in all of them.

Some observations:
After unzipping, the file can be simply renamed to H87MPRO.CAP
(not necessary to use the renamer).
According to the manual, the USB Flashback port is the one near the gray audio port (page 2-12).
Don't start the motherboard, just make sure that the power cables are connected and the power supply is turned on.
