Bought a brand new computer from over lockers. Set it all up with old monitor but monitor will not display anything just says power save mode. Settings checked and correct. Got another monitor still same problem. Got another blue connector cable still same problem. Any ideas?
Have looked inside can't see any wires unplugged. Powers up no problems I'm stumped.

Okay, let me try and help out.
What graphics card do you have? If it is a GPU that requires extra power from your power supply, have you checked on the connectors on the GPU? Are they plugged in?
Do the GPU lights come on when you turn your computer on?
Is the card firmly slotted on the motherboard?
If you tried two monitors and neither seems to work, and if your computer boots up properly (I am guessing you checked that somehow) then it's probably the card...Try with another card or the MBs native card if the MB has one?

Does the fan on the GPU kick on? Are you connecting to the onboard graphics or the GPU graphics? Do you have another GPU to try? What CPU chip is it? It may support display with the GPU removed.
