Worth it to upgrade GPU now or wait for NVIDIA Maxwell architecture?

At the moment I have a ASUS GTX 560 (I know, pretty outdated) and I am looking to upgrade after a year and a half of service from that card. I have been looking at the GTX 760 and really liked the performance to price ratio especially in SLI so I was thinking about upgrading soon but I recently heard of NVIDIA's technology. So I'm wondering whether I should wait for the next generation of GPU's or just go right ahead and get myself two GTX 760's? How long do you think those cards could hold me off? I heard newer games are demanding more VRAM and the 760's are only 2GB so should spend a bit more for the 4GB version if I do decide to get on (or two)? Thanks for all the help :)

Well I say upgrade now. Maxwell is probably 6-10 months away. That's a long, long time and we don't know about performance yet. However, I highly recommend going for 2 raddeon 7970s instead. They easily beat the 760 and cost almost the same ( http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-ax79703gbd52dhv3 ). They also have more Vram. Up to you, but the 7970 is a much better value. Hope his helps.

I guess I'll upgrade now but the 7970's only cost the same if you get PowerColor and doing some research it just doesn't seem like too of a reliable brand. Also, I'm in Canada so the price goes up by $100. I think I'll just stick with the 760's but thanks anyways!

That rebate is only until October 31 and I won't have my money by then so I think I'll still go with the 760's Thanks, though
