I recently built a budget gaming rig. It has a asus m5a99fx pro, amd fx 8320 black edition, 8 gb corsair vengeance blue 1600, and a r9 270x. With this setup i am maxing out crysis 3 with fxaa at 48 to 70 fps, yet Far cry 3 runs 45-60. My problem is anytime far cry 3 dips below 50 fps I get major lag and stuttering. Is there any way to fix this?

Try setting the pre-rendered frames setting to 1 or 2 if it's currently set to 0. I don't experience any stuttering on my main 660Ti machine, but on my secondary with an HD6970, if I have it set to 0, I get stuttering at all fps ranges (50-70fps) on high setttings unless I set that option to at LEAST 1 pre-rendered frame.

Thanks, I found after turning on the frame buffer and turning a few settings down to high I was able to keep a pretty stable 60 fps. Game still looks great too.
