Power and Motherboard will sustain a 280X?? 750W too much for single gpu?

Hello.
I am looking forward to buy a Sapphire Dual-X R9 280X , but the power requirement for it on the official page is given as 750W [Isn't it a bit too high for a single card gpu?]

Also will my motherboard handle such a high end card?

I looked further into it, and it appears that only Sapphire has this requirement.
Gigabyte recommends a 600W PSU, so that would be a solid choice for you. Take a look at the Direct CU II from ASUS as well, they are always good

Thanks a lot. Also will my motherboard be able to handle such a high end gpu? [I am 99.99999999999999999999% sure but want to confirm :p]

Also is there a huge difference between
1. Sapphire Dual-X and Vapor-X
2. Sapphire Dual-X and ToXic
3. Sapphire Dual-X and Asus DC2T

I am going for the Sapphire Dual-X because it's the smallest GPU.
For the rest of the model i will have to remove my HDD Cage [which i don't want to do as i might add in a few HDDs after a year or so - but i can sacrifise my hdd for GPU performance]

Well, Vapor X has the best cooling.
Toxic look sick as fuck
Direct CU II is small and quite powerful with the same cooling performance as a DualX. However it is not that "pretty"
So the best choice is the Vapor X, but the Dual X is only minutely worse. Max 1C higher Temps
The Toxic has the most convinient cooling and will also be the loudest. But looks so awesome.
So the best cooling is the Toxic and Vapor, but most logical choice is the Dual X

Asus R9 280X DC2T

Do those extra OC's make much difference in gaming?

There's a 130$ difference between the 270X [260$] and the 280X [390$] , is 280X worth the difference? [I am from INDIA]

Also is it better to buy 270X now and upgrade in about 1.5-2years
or
Buy the 280X ?

I want to play skyrim with loads of mods , bf 4 , watch dogs , fc3 , Bioshock infinite , tomb raider, sleeping dogs , Full Batman series , just cause 2 , max payne 3 and almost all future games @1080p
Will the 270X suffice for the above needs? or should i just go for the 280x [It's my first PC build so i am scared a bit to spends so much money on one component]

R9 270x is a HD 7870, so there's a big difference..
