Hi Guys,

I just put a new build with the following specs together for my friend:

CPU: i5-4670k @ 3.4 ghz
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX-640 Ti Boost
RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3
MOBO: MSI Z87-G43
PSU: Corsair GS600

Now after getting everything installed I opened up league of legends and played a game. I saw FPS average of around 135 with as high as 210. However with no changes the game now gets around 70fps... which is what my old build that's 5 years old gets.

3dmark Vantage score is the same both before and after this change in FPS.

I turned on OC genie after the fps drop and there was no change. All BIOS and system settings have been returned to default. Not sure where to go next.

Thanks,

Any idea what this could be.

Try a game other than LoL because there are a lot of games that you won't see a performance difference between old and new hardware.

So I reinstalled windows and everything is working well so far, I think it may have been some of the software that came with the MSI motherboard. On the new install I only included the MSI Command Center. Hopefully everything stays working as I get everything installed.
