About 2 months ago I assembled my new pc (incl. some old parts):

*MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr OC 2Gb.
*Antec 302 full-tower
*CX500M modular power supply
*Intel Core i5-4670 processor
* MSI B85M-P33 motherboard
* Western Digital WD10EADS 1TB SATA hard drive
* Asus VW246H hdmi monitor
*Samsung SSD 840 EVO
* Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB DDR3-1600 RAM
* Super Writemaster dvd-r

Everything works perfectly, except the sound.. I only get sound via my GTX that runs it trought HDMI to my monitor.
Autostarting the dvd for the mobo doesn't let me pick the audio, I can access them via the maps.
It installs, until it hits the end and tells me that it stopped installing. Followed by 'restart now or later question'.

It installs only Rtlupd64.exe, Usetup.iss in realtek\audio\drivers and Rtkupd64.exe in \realtek\audio\installshield.
None of them work.

Anyone got a clue how to solve this?

check in the bios under onboard devices that the sound card is turned on.
use the realtek driver from real web page it newer then the one on the cd.
after it installed and you reboot. go into audio device manager set the realtek speakers as main audio device not nvidia hdmi or amd hdmi.

I see my answer didn't get sent, so far for phone answering.
I tried that, the install of the driver stops at the end of it. Doesn't finish but asks still for reboot.
Only installs Rtlupdate.exe, Rtkupdate.exe and some .iss file. Total of 3.27Mb. None of them respond to clicking it.

installing the right driver...one for 32 bit os the other is for 64 bit os. you have to sometime uninstall the audio chipset software in safe mode if your having issues installing the newer driver. when it installed right there should be a real tek speaker on the lower right of the desk top. when you open audio control panel you see realteck speakers. these have to be set as primany audio not the hdmi. on some mb and setup you have to go in and disable the amd or nvidia audio to get the realtrek audio to work.

Sorry for the late respons.
I tried that too, no luck. Updated the bios, that worked. So now I have still sound from my hdmi (that works) but no speaker detection yet.
Guess I'm gonna try my luck with a total reinstall in a few days..

Hey, no chance you found a solution to your problem?
I'm having the exact same issue, what's weird is the realtek install does seem to install all the correct files in program files then at the end of the install it deletes everything, I also tried installing the correct driver straight from the .inf and that caused my pc to crash and get stuck in a boot loop. so irritating.

Sorry for the late reaction, but the install of Realtek does seem to work indeed. But that's about it. No boot loops or anything for me luckely. Still haven't been to the pc shop, so guess I should do that soon.
