Motherboard: ASUS P8H67-M EVO
CPU: Intel i5-2500
Current memory: G.Skill 2X4 gb Ripjaws DDR3 (PC3-12800H) 1600 1.5v SDRAM ( 9-9-28-37 @ 800 MHz, according to System Information for Windows.
I would like to increase memory to 16gb. My question is whether to buy 2 more 4gb sticks as above or 2 new 8GB sticks.
Obviously, a pair of 4GB is cheaper than a pair of 8GB. If the difference in performance is noticeable, however, I would pay more.
No games, no overclocking. This is a work computer. I write code and often have several memory-intensive applications going at once.
Thanks for any advice!
