Hello

I have an NZXT Sentry Mesh fan controller. It regulates voltage. I'm using a 4-pin to 2-pin Molex adapter as the Sentry Mesh isn't compatible directly with 4-pin Molex. The fan controller has 3 wires on it's power-in Molex but only two are used now.

Is this OK? Can i use it like this?

And finally what is the 3rd pin on that power-in molex on the fan controller that is not + or - ?

Thanks!!

It's completely fine, but the fan may not be able to go full power.

Ah, ok.

I've searched the internet up and down for a 4-pin Molex to a 3-pin molex adapter - Can't find it.

What is the 3rd cable on the fan controller used for? (The one that is not + or -) is it for regulating fan speed via the PSU or so,ething? Is it for LED fans?

Thanks for the help! :)
