dell inspirion 620 replace graphics card

I am new to the forums and am debating getting a new computer or attempting to upgrade cheaply what I have. I am looking to spend under 150 on upgrades if possible.

I currently have a Intel Core i5 2400 with the below stats
Graphic Interface PCI-Express
PCI-E Link Width x16
PCI-E Max Link Width x16
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size 8 GBytes
Channels Dual

Graphics card currently
AMD Radeon HD 6450
Memory size 1024 MB
PCI device bus 1 (0x1), device 0 (0x0), function 0 (0x0)

Win32_VideoController AdapterRAM = 0x40000000 (1073741824)
Win32_VideoController DriverVersion = 12.104.0.0
Win32_VideoController DriverDate = 03/28/2013

My PSU is a Del d300:(

I am thinking of a Asus AMD Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 Graphics Card for $86, but was not sure if it may be a dramatic increase or better cheaply upgrading PSU and card

A radeon 7750 should be a great upgrade for that system, it's quicker than the 6670 while also consuming less power. The 7750 should also work fine with a 300W PSU. Also, the 6670 is far too weak to use that 2GB of VRAM, I'd recommend the GDDR5 version of the 7750.

That i5-2400 is a very capable CPU, so an upgrade to the power supply would give you alot of upgrade options such as getting a higher end video card.

Well if you upgraded to that PSU you could get a better card to go with it, if your Dell is a minitower it should fit nicely
If this looks like yours, then someone modified theirs into a gaming build :D

It would be better to spend towards a decent 500W or so power supply, as it expands your future options

But for the moment that one has a decent 12v rail outputting 32A, even though the 7850 on paper requires a 500W PSU with 21A, that 430W with 32A should do the job fine

Then getting this 7850 would be worthwhile combined with that PSU

Thank you so much for the help, what do you think about this as it would keep me close to a $100 and I think I may want to upgrade the pc in two years or so. I think this power supply would also allow me to add an extra Hdd for pics like my wife wants:)
