Hello Everyone, I have a Dell Dimension 4600i. I recently decided to fire it up and make use of it until it's time ends. I've noticed it freezes a lot, usually while playing music or browsing the internet. I played Heroes of Newerth on it for over two hours a few days ago and it ran fine, so I don't know why it does this. When it freezes, the computer activity light (the one next to the power light on the front) is off, no blinking, nothing. It has a pentium 4 2.8ghz, 1.75 gb ram, varying speed, ati radeon 9700 pro. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

The system is rather old and may well just not have the resources to handle too much modern activities. On a modern version of Windows you should be able to see how hard the cpu is working in the task manager.

Hard to think that we once surfed the net and did everything else on 80368 and 80468 computers back in the day.

Everything demands much more of the system now days.
