Hello. I have a new pc. Configuration is :
AMD FX8350
2x4gb DDR3 Kingston HyperX Genesis 1666MHZ
GTX560TI 2gb 256bit video
Motherboard Gigabyte 970A-DS3, socket AM3+
Cooler for Processor: Noctua NH-C14
SSD 256gb Micron RealSSD
Windows 7 Pro x64 bit
PSU : 750W

This configuration has been running without one error or problem for 2 months now. No new hardware, no new Windows install.

My problem is like so: I was watching a movie and suddenly the screen went black and computer froze. No sounds from still playing the movie. After i turned it off, i tried to power it back on. It received power, every fan was working but the screen was black (Not even the bios screen)

Checked the RAM. Tryed only one and it worked. Tryed with 2 and didn`t.
After i made the bios timings from 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-24 it booted with both memory sticks.
Tryed again with the movie and the mouse froze while Chrome was starting and froze in the movie.

Also i tryed Windows7 Memory Test and it sayd that no problems where detected.

What could be the problem?

PS. Tryed now to play dota and about 15 min in it stopped working and reboted. The temperatures for GPU CPU are normal.
Also now it restarts while doing nothing and does the same black screen thing.

So can this be from RAM, GPU or from the old wires of the building ? Or can this be a PSU problem ?

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. I would suggest is to run Memtest86 from www.memtest.org . This is a more comprehensive test than Windows 7 Memory Test that will do multiple passes on the memory to make sure it is not getting any errors. If it does come back with errors then the issue is most likely with the memory and we can get you set up with a warranty replacement. If not, the next likely suspect would be your graphics card and given the symptoms any testing software for it would most likely cause the computer to crash. So the only way to really test to see if that is the issue is to try an alternate graphics card. Most likely not your PSU, from my experience if the PSU is the issue the power would cut off completely or the system would reboot suddenly, not lock up the computer. If you have a multimeter you can test to make sure the PSU is putting out the proper amount of power, same goes for you outlets. Although, if your system is plugged into a surge protector or UPS than the building wires shouldn't effect your system to a noticeable degree. If you are plugging directly into your wall outlets, I would HIGHLY suggest investing in a surge protector to avoid any power fluctuations that can/will harm your system. For further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

Thank you for your answer. Turns out it was from a power surge.
My PSU couldn`t provide the power to turn on the video card.
Also there were signs inside the power circuit for the CPU-Fan on the motherboard (visible only when i took the CPU cooler out).

Thankfully it works fine now. Changed the PSU and the motherboard didn`t get fried. (All performances back).

Solution : Change PSU if you have this simptoms. Also check motherboard connectors/and lines.

And can anyone make this thread SOLVED?
