It comes down to 2 graphics cards, which one should I go with?
1. MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

2. MSI R9 280X GAMING 3G Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Is it worth the extra $50 bucks to go with the R9 280x?

I will be using the GPU for gaming. Will I be able to run Far Cry 3 in 1080p on ultra? Which one is the better choice now and in the long run?

Solution

Black ops 2 without a doubt. MetroLL with msaa X2. Bioshock inf should be great. the only thin that slowed my 1 7970 down was the BF4 beta but that was a "beta" but i have two in CF. Anyway you will be doing great with a 280X

with AA off yes. that game wasent developed the best so out of the 280X and 760 i would go with the 280X for sure. AA in far cry 3 will knock down your frames badly.

Metro Last Light ultra 1080p?
etc... will it be able to max most games

Will do. One last thing. What do you mean "slowed down"? will i still be able to play bf4 with the R9 280x?

By that i mean since the game was not optimized fully yet my frame variance was slightly noticeable but nothing serious.
