Core i5 4570 Gaming question

So I just built my gaming rig [ first build ] was wondering " should of asked this before buying] will the 4570 last me a while for up coming games? is it still a good cpu for current games.....just wnna know if it's going to be obsolete in 3 months =] Thanks!!

with the 1150 mb you have if needed you should be able to drop in a brodwell cpu when they drop sometime next year.

Knowing Intel - Broadwell will be 5% faster than Haswell (with respectable improvements to iGPU which gamers don't actually use)

I think we're on the verge of seeing video games utilize 6-8 CPU threads effectively, but you should be ok for a while.
