I've been trying to get my build to work for a bit over a month now, to no avail. These are my components by the way
-Intel i5 4670k
-MSI Z87m-G43
-Corsair CX600m
-1080P VGA monitor from onboard video
-DDR3 1333 8GB RAM
-Sapphire dualX 7950
Here's the rest of my story
I got all my parts in the mail. I was overjoyed! I waited until Saturday to put them together. It didn't work. No BIOS and shut off and restarted after about 1 minute. I spent about 5 hours reading troubleshooting guides, watching tutorial videos and posting help threads on /r/buildapc.
I finally came to the conclusion that it was the RAM, since it looked pretty sketchy and I didn't trust the vendor. So, I went over to a friends house and plugged my ram in his computer. It worked fine. After this, I thought that it must be the motherboard so I RMA'd my motherboard. It came back in the mail, and exact same thing happened.
I did the paper clip PSU test and it came out fine, with flying colours. There was one component left. The CPU. I RMA'd that too and when it came back, same problem. Oh, and I also followed the troubleshooting guide on Tomshardware as well.
This is my guess right now. The PSU isn't outputting enough power. Can you tell me what you guys think?
Thanks
-Steve
