Hello i plan on upgrading my cpu i my asus pc. Im upgrading to a AMD A8-3870K quad core cpu. I have the latest bios and compatible socket Socket (fm1) i just want to know if i would run into any issues. I also want to know if i have to go into bios to activate or i just boot up and use my pc as i normally would after install.

Solution
With the latest bios it should automatically recognize your CPU. However you should still go into bios to check if there are settings you might want to tweak.

Thank you for responding to my post. I also want to know if the heatsink that comes with the cpu is pre applied wit thermal paste and if so would i just install it as normally without adding paste. And also i have nothing to tweak in my bios but thanks for the heads up.
