Hey I'm a first time PC builder and I'm having trouble picking a CPU. I will be using it mainly for gaming but i will be using it for other things as well, such as YouTube recording and uploading. I would like it so i dont have to upgade it for 3-5 years and for it to be good with next gen games. I have had a look at a few and I like the look of the Intel Core i7-3770K and the Intel Core i5 3570K. I will probably be overclocking. I need to know which is better and weather i7 will help my computer run faster. I would also love and suggestions if you think there are any better ones. Thanx

I7-4770k, i upload 4 videos of atleast 15min. per day on Youtube, invest as much as possible in your processor as you will not regret.

If you dont expect "at all" your channel will grow, then might as well got for the i5-4670k

For the speed of your computer an SSD is recommended of atleast 120gb, this is the most noticable speed diffrence.

If you are serious about your channel ofc.

with games beginning to utilize more and more cores/threads instead of just raw ipc, i'd pick the i7 for a more long term gaming viability. the fx8350 is also a very viable option nowadays as its beginning to show its strengths and is even on par with an i5/i7 in single gpu configs in games that scales with core count instead of just ipc and the bonus is that you won't be beaking the $200 barrier. with the money you'll save, you can allocate more money for your gpu and maybe even buy a gtx770/280x. if money is out of question, then by all means buy the i7 + beefy gpu combo. always prioritize the gpu first before the cpu.

Based on what you're doing, I would recommend you go with the 3770k. Things like video encoding will take advantage of the extra threads and give you better performance.
CPU Benchmark shows the 3770k performing around 35% better than the 3570k, while it only costs about 48% more. It's really up to you whether you think the performance increase is worth the cost.
