Hi all I could use your help. I am pretty green in OC so i would like to know what to do after my first OC.

Atm i got:
Abit IX38 QuadGT
Duo Core E6750 (2.66Ghz)
4GB OCZ DDR2 (4GB incomming)

I OC my E6750 on 3.2Ghz with FSB 400, but i read that i should putt Voltage core on 1.25V. My default value was 1.35V, when i putt it on 1.25V it took almost 5 minutes to get Win7. When i get back to 1.35V everything was much faster. After that i run trials with Orthos for 3h and everything went good.
Oh yea, i read that i should desable everything involing CPU in bios:

I left only Termal control, should i disable it also?

Since i want to get my proc to 3.6ghz or 3.8ghz and i have default cpu heatsink. I know that i need to get a better one, so my first question is wich one of these do you suggest:

Coolermaster Hyper 103
Coolermaster Hyper 412S
Coolermaster Hyper T74

If you got any other suggestion please feel free to tell me.

And now for main question :)
If i read and understand it well, when you OC you need to watch on your FSB, Vcore and memory fsb ratio. Since i automaticly got 1:1 ratio in my BIOS option, should i only watch and test FSB and Vcore or do i need to watch on smth else?Should i leave PCI on 100Mhz ?

Why is my volate allways in AUTO-DETECT mode? I putt it on manual then save the bios and after restart when i get back to bios its again on auto-detect?

Thank you 4 help and sorry 4 long post

You need to read some serious overclocking guides rather than random posts on the internet. There is no reason whatesoever to disable the NX/XD bit, much less C1E. None of these help or hinder overclocking.

Overclocking is much more than simply throwing random numbers into fields until you get a desired result. You're far more likely to get an E series paperweight that way.

I used a thermalright TRUE 120, works very well. Get them cheap off eBay. Use 2 fans in push/pull configuration. Also make sure your case has enough fans to get rid of waste heat. I overclocked my e6600 to 3.2 stable but eventually sold it and bought a Q9650 which even at stock was much better, and got to 3.6ghz overclocked and stable. The extra 2 cores made a huge difference.
