R9 270X or HD7950?

I'm going to be upgrading my GPU soon and I'm not sure which one to get between the two mentioned in the title.

The R9 270x is a rebranded 7870, its a good card but slower than a stock 7950. The 7950 also has an extra gig of ram which helps at higher resolutions, and you get free games with it (Never settle reloaded bundle). I would definitely take the 7950.

The R9 270x is the same card as the HD 7870. This article posted a little while ago talks about the changes made to the 7xxx series during update/rebranding.

The 7950 is superior in performance to the 270x and includes the Never Settle bundle.

I'd go with the 7950.

The 270X when overclocked is neck and neck with the 7950, that'd be my pick!

The 7950 OC's pretty nicely too

Mine does nice things while running at 1,050MHz ^^

- I would not want a slower card than this for game in 1080...

It really depends on the price. With the current prices I would go with the Sapphire 11217-01-20G Radeon R9 270X 2G http://www.mwave.com/mwave/skusearch.asp?px=....

If you can get a 7950 for around the same price then definitely go that route but the 7950 is out of production and prices are inflated.
